Okay so I'm going to learn action script in flash because i need to make a flash game, the first thing i notice when flast cs4 opens up is that it asks which action script file i want to use 2.0 or 3.0, which is easier to learn? Also if theres a version of flash thats simpler thatn cs4, would you pretty please nudge me in the direction of it with some sort of poking implement, a stick or post would do very nicely. Thank you in advance.

Hmm.. Even though I don't know flash or ActionScript, I'd say go with higher version rather than lower.

They are both just as easy to learn, but you really should learn them both. 2.0 is more commonly supported but wont be in the next few years.

The layout is not much different in each of the versions. But with CS4 you have a ton of custom workspaces for you to choose from.

I don't know the difference but you might as well go with the newer version. In a few years, AS 2.0 won't be used anymore.

Flash MX 2004 introduced AS 2.0 for the first time. Source: Adobe Flash - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
