Would it be possible to open a port on the Windows Firewall undetected via a software I install on my friends PC? Once said port is open, I have an application that will be installed that will allow me limited control to his computer and files.

If you have access to install software on his PC why don't you just open the port manually?
If there's a new way, I'll be the first in line.
But, it better work this time.

Same thing. Just open the port while you are on his PC or use a port that is already open but not binded.
