Hello everyone, am a newbie to the PHP language. I recently start equipping myself with tutorials and books i will need to get this language off the ground.

I have a great deal of understanding on how PHP works and what you can do with it, but the only thing is i am not familiar with the codes that do everything. OK, my thing is that i have a training dvd (PHP With MySQL Essential Training DVD) and its going along very well. I bought PHPDesigner i downloaded WAMP and everything is going smoothly.

Hope i will make new friends here that i can help or exchange ideas with and maybe go through a new business venture with.

Thank You

Kendall

Frequently, a quick google search for "PHP [my action]" will give you what you need. I spend a lot of time in the PHP online documentation.

I'll be right there with you buddy. I have already dove into PHP but I ran into some issues. I have PHP, Apache and MySQL installed on my computer right now. I'm about to uninstall all three of them and download something like WAMP and kick this thing off again.

We have many people with advanced knowledge in PHP on here so feel free to ask any questions you have. The best resource you'll ever find is the PHP manual at php.net.

Personally, I did not like the WAMP package. I took the XAMPP server package instead. I find it containing a little bit more, and also a little bit easier to maintain.

I'd also like to know the same thing. I don't think I am advanced enough yet to where it would make a huge difference to me. However, I'd still like to make sure that I am equipped with the best tools.
