I have no clue what to do to make an html file with instructions on modifying files. Basically instructions and then boxes to copy code from (with a select all button) and then use it in the files, etc etc.

Maybe even have it where clicking certain links take you to other pages with optional edits?

I have no idea how to have any html file with this purpose. I have to keep using notepad and that's terrible for this type of thing.

You can use textareas to house any code you need. This will preserve indent, spacing and linebreaks. You could also use <pre> tags.

But how do I even get started making an html file of any sort? Are there any template html files already ready for programmers to use? I suck at html to begin with and it's annoying to keep releasing modifications with text file instructions. People complaining about it even though the mod is free. lol
