I just found this site on Digg and love it: IE6 No More - Home

Personally, I think the way to deal with the corporate environment question is to provide a link to Portable FireFox.

That was cool, good idea.

Why can't all web browser have an auto update to update to new versions as fast as they have passed the testing phase?

Two reasons in my mind; first of all, some web apps do work worse in newer versions, so maybe a company with a web based software system, would need to approve it's all working first. Second, maybe it actually uses more hardware resources than the last one, so your web experience would be worse.

There are a lot of corporate intranets that have apps that break in IE7. That's fine, but give the people FireFox for the outside web.

@ Orjan. Your reasons is like saying that you should continue with VHS because the old machines can't play DVD movies and nobody have any DVD movies anyway.

No, I'm saying, that you can't upgrade until you have made sure it works with the environment it's being used in.

That was a very strange way to say what you say you said with your second post. And what you say you meant in your first post with your second post is what I said in my first post so why does it sound with your first post that you think I'm wrong and giving me two reasons why?

I found it on Digg too, it's a great move. It's even better with what you have said and they gave the code to put on their site. If it's not a new browser, they won't let you access the site and it shows links to the new latest browsers.

The site is plain and simple, it also seems to be growing popularity extremely quickly!

Sorry if I don't post as often as I did, I'll try to get here as much as possible! I'm working my bum off to get this scholarship and other stuff!

I think it would be nice to only have to code in newer versions of the browsers only, but I see Orjans point.

A company I worked for, a second of them were not allowed to upgrade their IE to even 6 because they did not want to pay to upgrade their current programs.

I see the point, but if I wanted to do anything with browsers, id try to make one leader, instead of making all the browsers just newer.

I'm planning to start work on the fanfiction site again. I plan to have a pure CSS menu. IE6 will be unable to navigate the site :D

You should post a link to your site(s)?
