Everyone got into this super-cool ASCII chess before I showed up, it's too bad, could I get in on a game with someone? I'm only okay at the game, can beat a comp on medium so not as good as most people I suppose. Either way, I enjoy Chess and want to play with someone else who does.

Just a tips for you: I will use the program I've made, when I'm playing because it's very difficult to get a good overview of the board in ASCII chess, try it if you want, it makes it a little bit easier: :)

I've only got Linux man, already tried it with Mono, got a bunch of unsupported lib's problems. Too new a version of .NET I guess. :)

I'll take a crack at making a cross-platform one, probably using SDL, since that's what I'm familiar with. Yours is all in VB... :p. Anyway, I'll try and get one made.

VB is easy to use and have a lot of inbuilt things so you don't have to code all by yourself, but it have its downsides. I'm on my way moving to cross-platform ones but VB is still what I use the most.

Ha HA, I think you've already got this, good game man, tried pushing too hard for that center. :p

I know what you're talking about with VB, I use Real Basic, which works for Linux and is a LOT like it, but yeah, definite downsides. Might be able to make it in there.
