I've used a lot of c and php (almost the same thing). I've also used visual basic 6.0. I want to start learning something more graphical. I was thinking of learning c++ since its used in linux as well. I've also been considering just learning java since it can cross platform easily. Does anyone know of any starter guides having to with graphics programming?

C++ graphics will depend on your OS/library.
