my computer is: windows xp professional 2002 with service pack 3
2.40 GHZ
256 RAM


I downloaded visual basic 2008 express edition, and then when installation began. The first installation happened ( visual c++).. but second installation .net framework 3.5 sp1 is stuck..

I tried to do it seperate installation and download .net framework 3.5 sp1.. it stuck in download as well.


whats the problem, whats the solution?
i have higher version of windows installer 3.1 which is required..
plus i had .net framework 2.0... i also uninstalled it, and tried to install .net framework 3.5 sp1 without it.. it didnt work as well.

oh, and it stuck for like 2 hours now.. and seems like installation wont continue.

so i need this help quickly..

i have pretty laughable connection. 10 kb/s
i live in lebanon

but then again, download aint the problem. u can see there are two green checks on the left side. one for download and one for install. the download ones are green checked, but not the install ones..

my download took me like 9 hours, while i am in the install part now and its where am stuck.
