Hi,
Right now, I am making a small POS application using Vb.Net for my father's store. I just bought Epson Printer TM-U220D. The printer's working perfectly.
But, I have a problem with the font.
I've tried every fonts that Windows has with font size 9 and 10, but all of them can't reach 40 columns per line. I saw other store's receipt that using Epson TM-U220 series printer has 40 columns per line.
Please tell me what font and what size that this printer usually used ?
I heard that this printer has it own font, is that true? If that's true, where can I find it? Is it in the CD ? And what is the name of the font?
Please help me, I don't know where else to ask.
Or could u give me the correct links to ask this question.
Any information will do.
I have 1 more question.
As u can see from the picture in this link :
img188.imageshack.us/img188/2978/receiptexample.jpg
The words "Your Company", "Totals", and "Balance Due" have this but tall font, but still can reach 40 columns per line.
Thanks in Advance.
Regards,

Based on this: http://pos.epson.com...pdf/u220_ds.pdf you may only have 33 columns available. It depends on which one you have. Did the printer come with a technical manual? If not, you may want to go here: Tech Resources for technical resources.

The pdf that u showed me said that 7x9 = 40 columns, 9x9 = 33 columns.

Try to count the columns, there's 40 columns per line.

Update :
I called the Technical Support Center, he told me to press "Feed" button while turn the power button to "On", then the printer printed some text about the printer version, features, etc.
I count the words, it got 40 columns per line.
Then he said that he will send me some tutorial by email.
I am currently waiting for the email, I will keep updating this thread.

The tutorial was useless. I'm not a great programmer so I can't understand at all. So I tried to install the newest version of the driver, and finally I get the native font from the driver.
