G'day everyone.

I know most of you will know about this already but do you really know what the children in the third world party countries have to go through every single day? You might of seen it but have you ever felt like they have just for one day?

That is why this year I have decided to do the 40 hour famine. What it is, is basically you give up something you really love just for 40 hours. The main one is food but you can give up whatever you want really!

What I have decided to give up is 40 hours without sleep. Yes it will be hard but it will be a challenge which makes it so good. I will not be able to feel what they feel unless I go there and live there but this is a start. They do sleep but they work hard all day, everyday just for food.

That is why I am raising a goal of AUD$1000! My group leader gave me some statistics today and said AUD$40 will feed 5 children for 1 month! So with $1000 I will be able to feed 125 children for one month. That would be an astonishing amount of children that will be able to have food for one month :) If you count all the other money that is raised and donated, so many children will be fed!

I need to go around and start collecting donations for my target. I will NOT be sleeping for 40 hours and my girlfriend will be there doing it by my side.

Why I have come here to tell you this is, if you want to donate please do! I don't know if you can donate directly but if you know of someone doing it please do sponsor them. There is ways of donating online which I really encourage a few people to do.

If you wouldn't mind donating towards my goal, it will be added to my target but will go directly to the World Vision bank account. All I ask is for a few dollars of a few people to donate towards me, the money WILL NOT ever touch my hands! It will be added to the target but sent to World Vision. If you are willing to do this please send me a private message and I will guide you through the process. NOTE: A credit card or debit card will be required.
