I have a wide screen LG226WT. and I cannot find a driver for it. I searched online and no positive result. Can someone tell me where to find drivers for LG226WT.

you may need to donwload your gpu driver for it. afaik, there are no monitor drivers specifically for making it widescreen unless natively supported.

I heard Nvidia has support for unix systems. If you are on the green team, you can get lucky.

Sorry, old thread...

But I've had the same problem multiple times with unrecognized monitors.

Each time, I edited the xorg.conf with new monitor settings to fix it.
Certain distros (Fedora, etc...) no longer have a default xorg.conf
so you have to generate one. Can't remember the command off the
top of my head, but a google search will give it to you.
Any monitor can be used!!
