Is Wine slates to have DirectX10 compatbility anytime soon? What about PhysX?

I don't think there's any software that actually requires DX10 (which is Vista only). Since most gamers are still on XP, DX9.

I'm sure Wine will support it soon in any case.

Direct X 10 is not required so soon. But regarding compatibility wine slates will have it soon

Well, most of the games are still on DX9, and the ones that do use the DX10, you have an option to use wither 9 or 10... so that should not be a problem..

now that dx11 is near, i wonder if it would also be compatible with Linux. :D

I'm betting garbled textures and other pesky bugs in the road ahead. I just hope Linux get proper 3D support from hardware and software people.

Eventually Direct X10 will replace DirectX9..

And I do believe Wine will support DirectX 10 very soon
