If you are on Ubuntu or something similar, browse to
system / preferences / sound / login

Where is the Vista Startup sound located? I've always liked the Sabayon Gnome startup-sound. The openSUSE Gnome startup sound is pretty bad.

Where is System? Isn't that Windows directory (IE: system32).
