What packages do you install when you install a new system? Which ones do you need and don't need? I generally click the "Install Everything" option because I have no idea. :D

Depends on the purpose of the computer. For my personal use I install everything since I never know what I'll be playing with next. For servers I only install the necessities (FTP, HTTP, SSH, etc).

I guess for my personal system I am alright though. How do I find a list of services so that I can remove the ones I don't use?

What si your particular distro? Some distros install all the basic packages, other give you an option to get only the ones you really need.

I have tried them both. Awesome distros, especially the user-friendly PCLOS.

I think installing all is the best choice. We may not need them all at the present but maybe we will need them in the future. If I have enough space I would certainly install everything.
