Hey.

I was wondering if Debian can be a desktop Linux operating system? I know that it is a popular choice for webmasters for server operating systems.

Is it a server operating system or a desktop operating system?
Has anyone tried Debian on their PC?

I've a machine running Debian, and I use it as desktop, and not as server. I do prefer Ubuntu over Debian though.

Why do you prefer Ubuntu over Debian? Ease-of-use or interface?
Or maybe even performance?

Well as far as I know v0id installed Debian on an old machine and he said it works perfectly, so I guess the performance is better.... so I don't think it's for the performance.
