Can anyone tell me how these people are getting World of Warcraft to run on Linux? I was just playing (via Windows) and talking to another player that was on Linux. He left before I could get any more info out of him.

Any idea what the FPS is like? Would it be faster or slower on Linux? I'm really exited because I have to spend a lot of time in Windows because of playing this game so much.

Wow I had no idea that you can play WoW on Linux. Do you know what OS he was using? I would like to find more information about this as well..

You would probably be able to run it pretty smoothly using TransGaming Cedega. You'll have to pay for it, but I've heard it is the money worth.

Yes it is possible, as far as I know it is even supported by Wine.

I knew that TransGaming could play it. I think they have that as one of their main screenshots on their homepage. I didn't know that Wine would play though, thats amazing.

I'll take a look at TransGaming although I'd rather do it for free with Wine. Anyone know how to get it working?

I imagine WoW would be amazing on Linux, but I didn't even know it was even compatible.

Wine or Cedega. You should be fine with Wine, but you could pay for the better service of Cedega.

I plan on installing WoW on openSuSe soon (maybe tonight). I'm glad to hear that it ran well for you. I have a 3d card and the drivers installed on SuSe so I hope I get a decent FPS.

Any other good MMORPGs that you recommend?
