Hey, I thought linking to this forum thread would be rather interesting, as this is a reference of the 25 best games of Linux for 2008:

http://www.talk-gami...mes-2008-a.html

I am very surprised at the list. A lot of the games look impressive and look like typical Windows games. I guess this is why I love open source: compatibility. :)

Should add World of Warcraft to that list. From what I have read here, you can use it with WINE. :D

But it's not an actual Linux game, so it can't be added there.

BTW Sabayon comes with some of these games already installed in it.

Great! Thanks for posting the link. Now, I've got an idea which game I'll play first.

Thanks for posting the link. The one that jumped out at me was "Frets On Fire."
It looks like it has similarities to the game that uses the guitar-style interface. I can't believe I'm drawing a blank on the name of that one.

That is neat that he is already using Linux at such a young age.

My husband likes to keep linux on one of our computers because he likes it so we all get some exposure to it. My son really likes the few games on there like the one where the penguin skis, and an icy ball shooter. I can't remember the names right now.
