What is your preference? I've been playing around with both and since KDE's new menu came out I'm not really fond of KDE any longer. Gnome seems simplistic and has a lot of features - if not all features - that KDE has.

What about you?

I prefer KDE - it seems more developed and mature. We use Gnome here at work though and there is nothing wrong with it. A very powerful xwindows manager.

I believe it does. I'm not sure what Ubuntu uses. It may be Enlightenment?

Ahh, just figured it out. Ubuntu uses Gnome. Kubuntu uses KDE and Xubuntu uses Xfce Desktop.

I love KDE. The interface is familiar to me but also has its own distinct look.
