What is MAC OS X? I heard it was FreeBSD, is that true?

It is based on the BSD operating system I think. Not sure which BSD but I have heard that it was FreeBSD.

Rock solid and stable. I've used MAC for a long while before switching to Linux.

Yep, i still use windows for my everyday computing needs but MAC's are just for bling IMHO. A distro is better for me though.

OS X is based on Darwin, which is based on code from BSD and the NeXt operating system.
