Anyone downloaded and tried Solaris 10? I'm interested in seeing it as I've never before seen Solaris. Does it function just like Linux?

I'm actually installing it right now in a vmWare session. I'll let you know how it goes.

I've heard the Java Desktop is pretty neat! Is it gnome? Why do they call it the Java Desktop if it is gnome?
Anyway, got any screens?

I finally got this installed! It was a fight to get it working in vmWare but I did. The installer wasn't very good and looked to much like the CDE windows manager (which I hate). I'll be writing a review on it soon.

It is something to see! How often do you get to see a true Unix System! Plus, Sun is giving it away for free! Do you have vmware or virtual pc (not sure if virtual pc will work). If you do, I recommend playing around with this system and using the Java Desktop (not the CDE desktop as mentioned above).
If you do, at least you can say "I've used it before" :)
