Sound Issue

Hi I'm using Ubuntu and when I try to open up Movie Player it displays this error any help? thanks!

Well nevermind, Now I'm going to install OpenSuse, perhaps I will not have this problem :)

Ow dam it! My sound card is Vinyl AC'97 Codec Combo Driver (WDM)

Perhaps it's not compatible?

Now that I'm thinking, neither Windows detects my sound card!! I have to install the drivers on Windows, now on Linux do I need any special drivers for linux? or what?

Well I think, yes you do need some sort of drivers.. but I think that Linux should be able to detect sound on it's own..no? Althought when using FreeSpire I did have some sound issues, but in general it worked.
