What would be an efficient way to make a completely vertically oriented menu bar (for traditional Chinese and Japanese, which are often oriented in vertical columns that are read in right-to-left order) using the Windows GUI or something similar? I'm very interested in vertical orientation of text. There is not much support for that in the computer world, and I am interested in writing simple applications that use vertical text (vertical textboxes, menus, buttons, you name it) exclusively. Any pointers or advice on this topic would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

This is interesting. I can see that writing right-to-left is somewhat taken under consideration by some developers, but only horizontally. I don't have any pointers though.
