Heeey CodeCallers!

Well after being really busy with programming and databases I needed a little time to relax :P. And since I need a new laptop when I get back to college I thought I look for one. But I'm always having trouble deciding.

And besides that I'm thinking of buying an Apple, Macbook Pro. but I have no knowledge about Apple so I really hope there are a few Apple users that can tell me if it's really the best decision to buy an Apple. and what are positive and negative things about Apple in comparence with a HP.

Where Do I Use It For:
-Photoshop
-Programming
-Gaming (would like to play the newer games)

Well I've looked for a few Laptops, I would say, Tell me what you think!

If you have any other suggestions, please let me know! I'm in for everything!:D

Here They Are

Apple Macbook Pro $3,099.00

Another Really Important Question.
With a Macbook Pro, could I make a dual boot? and not like a sort of Apple VMware where I install Windows on?
Just like directly on the hardware?

And does the Macbook battery really goes for 8 hours without charging? because that would be fantastic! is there any other laptop who can do that?

I think the first question should be: What do you need to be able to do with this laptop? What programs will you need, etc? That can make a huge difference.

I agree with WP 110% even.
First of all, what are you going to do? What are your needs and last will of course be the wallet size...

Depending on the games, gaming + Mac = frustration.

The second one is nice but Macs are very nice machines and I'd probably buy a Mac. You can dual-boot on it. Just create another partition and load windows. A friend of mine does it all the time. Runs great!

Well to make it look serious.
Laptop != Gaming station...
You won't enjoy good brands however it is possible, but I don't like the current situation with laptops, running like F1 cars and heated up like no tomorrow.
ASUSTeK Computer Inc.
Check that one, really good laptop my friend has for "gaming", heat will not be so bad...
Not with this one at least for a couple of months gaming...

Ya But I wonder if you can really dual boot on it. I heard that when you dual boot mac has like a kind of container where you put your dual boot on so you Can't install it directly on the hardware and you can have issues with that, but my question is if that is true?

That's what I am saying, you can. MacWindows: Running Windows on Intel Macs

Apple also has a tool called BootCamp. You might be talking about this tool when you say "container". Here is a video: YouTube - Boot Camp Demo: Run Windows on a Mac

Here is Windows 7 on a Macbook: YouTube - Windows 7 on my MacBook Pro

Ya I watched the tutorial and read the article, so BootCamp should be used to run dual boot without virtualization it only creates 2 partitions and makes it able to install Windows. well that's good than :D! thanks foir the help on that one.

so what would be your choice :P?

Mac! :)
Although I refuse to buy a Mac because they are so overpriced. If money wasn't an issue, I'd buy one. The OS is a great OS and the hardware they use is tested to perform optimal with that OS.
