Hello
I came on the forum while searching for a tut on google and I like this site :P
Anyways, I am gonna start learning programming soon. I was thinking about learning vb but my dad says C is better (versions ignored)

It depends on what you want to do. VB is generally easier to make things happen with, but you can learn some bad habits as well. I would recommend Java, C#, or Delphi/Lazarus if you want to do GUI programming quickly.
