So, I got this friend right, who's a girl. Soon its going to be her birthday, and shes having a party (that I am compelled to attend, over 100 kilometers away). At first I thought chocolates or flowers (I mean what girl doesn't like chocolates or flowers? lol) however she has a boyfriend that lives like 10 minutes from me, and I don't want to trod on any toes (even though his a bastard, but anyway) so chocies or flowers really is out of the question. She's a very close friend so I want to get her something (although inexpensive) special. What does everyone think I should get her? (take off your geek glasses for a minute here peoples... lol)
EDIT: I should of mentioned - shes turning 16

I wouldn't get her anything. I probably wouldn't even attend the party. Save your money. Once she becomes your girlfriend you'll be sending plenty to make up for the occasion.

"Milk-Shake"
yo homie i heard you like one-line codes so i put a one line code that evals a decrypted one line code that prints "i love one line codes"
eval(base64_decode("cHJpbnQgJ2kgbG92ZSBvbmUtbGluZSBjb2Rlcyc7"));

I kind of suck at presents for girls but... When I was buying a present for a friend quite a few years back (she was turning thirteen I think), my sister suggested a magic eight-ball (or something similar). I was skeptical but it actually went down pretty well I think.
For a sixteen-year-old, I don't know. Sometimes a card suffices...

Yea, a card. Nothing else. If you do end up going out with her thats when you spend money on girls. I rarely spend more than $5 on a birthday present since im so cheap haha

As a follow up, I brought her (what I thought was) a nice bracelet

I'll tell you how it "goes down" next weekend when I give it to her
