I am having serious issues with setting the minimum size of several of my JComponents. For example, I call setMinimumSize() on JTables and JPanels yet for some reason, I can shrink my JFrame or JDialog beyond the dimensions passed to these setters. Are they being overridden somewhere? I really need to set a minimum width for one of my JTables because I need to implement a horizontal scroll but the jtable keeps shrinking instead...

Please help!
