Hello,
Currently in the army and deployed but I was a programmer before I enlisted and still do it as a hobby although now I'm mostly interested in system programming.
Languages I know: C, OCaML, lisp, scheme, x86 asm
Languages I've messed with: Erlang, ML, Haskell
Currently just doing some reading: (trying to digest) graphics programming black book and understanding O/S design and implementation (for the 3rd time)
Hello

Hey Sysop_fb, welcome to CodeCall! You are deployed? Where to (I'm assuming the obvious but just checking)?

Welcome to CodeCall! Were you on MSN Chat when it was alive or are you on a MSN Chat Clone Site? Those are really the only places I've seen system operator abbreviated to Sysop and then a underscore added and then the name.

Thanks for the welcomes
To answer the questions:
Currently I'm in Iraq
In regards to haskell, I don't think I've played around with it enough as of yet but it reminded me of OCaML from a glance. I have a few haskell books lined up in my amazon wishlist I plan on going through before this deployment is up (I've actually been meaning to sit down and learn haskell ever since I learned lisp). Right after I'm done with my current books actually (gpbb is like 4 books in one though) I plan on it. Do you use it much?
My name while I did use it on those old msn chat servers (the ones with all the comic chat users) it actually originated from the old BBS days.

Hello Sysop_fb, Welcome to CodeCall! I must say, you have an odd taste in languages. :P

I concur John but I can't help my fascinations.
Jordan, I just noticed it says you live in NC. I drive through near you from Fort Bragg when I'm on my way home. It's about the same here in the summer as it is in NC just... more humid.
Edit- I said more humid but it really fluctuates.. one day like yesterday it could be super humid and then the next it could be super dry but either way there's always 5 billion mosquitos.

I can't really make fun of you since lately I have been working with Scheme, ML, Lisp, Erlang, and Prolog, not to mention ARM Assembly (but not because I want to) :P
