Indeed. So, what are you looking for exactly? A cheap netbook type that can run Linux with C++, Apache and PHP or a real laptop that weighs 7-10lbs?

To be exact, I'm looking for a 13.3" screen, a T8300 processor, 4GB of ram, a 160GB hard drive, and a good graphics card with a battery life of 2.5 hours or greater. And I would like it to look **.

I would have bought the Dell Inspiron 13 yesterday if the graphics card wasn't so crappy. The only one I've found that comes close (at a reasonable price) is a Dell XPS 13M but it is ugly looking and has an atrocious battery life.

Have you looked at the precisions? They are 15" I believe but own up to everything else you demand.

True, you might want to consider one. Nice machines... Overpriced but nice.

I currently have a 15" laptop and I think its too big.

Have you looked at a Mac?

I have, but I'm not sure if I could live with it.

Do 13" have a full keyboard or do they have a netbook keyboard?

13.3" do have a full keyboard. I believe 12" laptops do as well.

It is usually impossible to tell how a laptop will function based purely on the specification. My advice is to consult a reviews magazine, who have had a chance to examine the laptops and test them out.
