You may have seen the game between WingedPanter and me here: http://forum.codecal...n-new-post.html
Yes, I know - I'm getting whooped up one side and down the other. We (WP and I) were discussing it on IM and thought an ASCII Chess Tournament may be something fun that CodeCall members would want to compete in. We would like to get as many members as possible involved. Each member would be paired off with another member and the winner would then move forward to the next stage. The tournaments would take place in a thread and the moderators will have to be vilegent to keep others from posting (aside from the two contestants).
Anyone interested?

Do we want to do it as single or double-elimination?

I enjoy the game, though I prefer Go.

Yahoo Games has an excellent online Chess Game. I use to play on there often.

We still need more players. We have 4 now: WP, Termana, Amr and Myself. Anyone else?

If we get 8, I would set up a double-elimination structure, so a "bad matchup" doesn't knock someone out early.

Why not! Noting to loose.;)
Perfection of means and confusion of ends seem to characterize our age. Albert Einstein
