either java or c++ would be a good start
if you really want to learn programming, you can have java and c++, and other langauges, just a matter of time and works
you know?
either one is great one to start

I have asked this quistion to and i found that C++ is easy to me (i just got bored with no challenge (though i was in basic input out put though)) I am trying C maybe this might keep me intrested.
Also consider Sheme (don't know much about it) i just heard its good.
also if you want beautiful webpages I'd focus on HTML/CSS/Javascript i know there not what you want but if you have mac os (from what i here) you can make widgets from them wich is handyi guess.

I've seen CSS being a very discussed language and seems like the future, could i use Python and CSS?

Btw.. All is very kind here lol, it's rare.. Good forum.

Python can be used as a server-side language, it doesn't replace HTML ;) But your only just beginning programming so it's OK to make silly mistakes like this :)

Hope you enjoy Ubuntu and Python!

C++ isn't just OOP. But you can use OO in it, it offers many other possibilities too.
