I don't know. Any suggestion about the background, the footer and header?

There is only one thing I like about the index page is the navigation. If you get rid of the rest of the page, I think it would look great. Maybe with the same background as the navigation.
It's half English and half the other language, Chinese or Japanese.

I like it - are all your links broken though?

I noticed that, but I don't think they are to lead anywhere yet.

thx all
@Xav, Yeah, I did find it bad so I edited tonight. It's better now?
@Brandon & Jordan: yes, most of the links are broken (which lead to my custom 404) because i am writing my own scripts for most of the things, instead of using other people's work, it will take a while, but blogs are linkable
i re-sliced the image, but it became a problem because there more pieces now.
it's not a problem if you re-visit it a several time, and never a problem if your internet is faster enough to load up everything in a second
i might consider to make it into a flash instead
what do you guys think

If you can do it in CSS I would suggest you stay with that. Flash can be just as slow, very slow for slower internet connections. Also it requires a plug-in.
The index page looks so much better now, much more simple. But what's up with that black dot between Hs and Cp? Also, if you hover over each image, it does make it transparent but the corners looks funny :S

@brandon
the corner looks funny, you mean when it's mouse-over, it is not rounded transparency, instead, a rectangular shape? i wish i can make the element more perfect but i can't because i think PS slice tool only allows rectangular, not poly-shape
and the dot, hmmm, just a license , from creative commons :)
i am going to modify those images again this saturday, maybe remove that license and put something else (something small and cool)
actually, i am also going to edit the background too.

OK, but that is slicing. Slice the image and use the magic-selection tool which will select the gray colour if you use it on the background, then delete it and it will have a transparent background. Go to File > Save for Webpage. Choose a low quality PNG, it will still look the same really and it will still keep the transparency on a webpage. The reason you save it for webpages is so the file is small and doesn't take long to load. Then apply the transparency ;)
