Take 1000 and add 40 to it.

Now add another 1000.

Now add another 30. Another 1000.

Now add 20. Now add another 1000. Now add 10.

What is the total?

Did you get 5000? I did, but the answer is 4100.

I can't actually understand how it's 4100 no matter how much I try ><

Can anyone explain it, please? :3
