English is my third language so please try not to use any slang as I will not 100% understand its usage. for principal, we study visual basic as of now. Not in depth of VB just the basic. I'm looking to study java, c# and c++ in the following semester or so. hope everyone could be of a helpful during my study as i'm new to programming. I'm interested in using programing language to write code to remove virus and building firewall!:)

G'day mate. Welcome to CC, you don't need to worry about slang. Most members here that you will get familiar with quickly, don't use it. Nearly all the time they use proper English. What other languages you know?

Thank for the friendly welcome! I can speak in Vietnamese and Cambodian. So far VB is not that bad but it a little bit confusing from time to time!

Nearly every language is a hard start, mainly your first one. But after a while you will get use to it.
How are you learning VB and planning to learn the other languages?
