I know java as my first language, still learning though, not very advanced stuff yet. I also know a little python and a little c and a little html... not much of those last three but enough to make some basic programs... looping... variables... user input... stuff like that

Welcome to CodeCall mate :) I hope you enjoy your stay.

Java is great place to start for a beginner, you might become quite familiar with Chili5. He a big Java geek hehe.

What do you plan to learn after Java?

It all depends on what you want to do. I would skip C and go straight to C++ unless you are interested in operating systems.

As Winged mentioned, it depends on where you want to go. I kept debating wheather to learn C then C++ or just C++, but these great guys at CC convinced me to go straight to C++. It got quite boring, so I stopped it. But I will go back because I might need it later on in my IT life.
