Questions:

1)What is the range of addresses for a conditional branch instruction in MIPS with
respect to X, where X contains the address of the branch instruction? Assume
the current PC value is 0x10101010.

2)What is the range of addresses for jump (j) and the jump and link (jal) in-
structions in MIPS. Assume the current PC value is 0x10101010.


I am not sure how the whole conditional branch and instructions work is can someone explain?? I am assuming the first questions is -2^15 to 2^15-1 and the second is 8. Because these two questions are super confusing, help is greatly appreciated!. Thanks!
