If I searched for "how to crack IE", I would find links to sites connoting malicious intent. Therefore, I would not want to search for "how to crack IE".

If I searched for "how to hack IE", I would be more likely to find links to sites dedicated to ethically finding vulnerabilities in IE6, which are more likely to be safe, legal and free of malware.

Therefore, my implementation of the two forms is correct. :) This sounds like an idea for a blog topic..
