The reasons for this was, I was working A LOT over the holidays. Since I am one of the best workers at my work, most weeks I was doing about 45 hours. The week before Christmas and after Christmas, busiest times of the year, I was doing 52 hours a week! One shift I did 16 hours straight and had to work in 10 more hours for another 8! When I came home, I just couldn't do anything. Now after all those long hours, I stopped them last week. Thank god for that. But school started again on Tuesday and I did my last shift on Monday (Australia Day). Today was my third day back at school and now I have become a Senior Student, many of the rules have changed.
Believe me, these new rules were really strict. Last year 75 students got expelled (forced to leave the school) in the first month of the year. Now over the next two years, till I finish High School, I must do my absolute best in class or otherwise I will be one of those students. I never have problems at school with bad behaviour or achievement so I don't really need to worry. But each class I have about 6 assessments a year. With 6 classes, that is 36 assessments a year.
If you thought that sounded bad, you should hear this next bit. We have 6 classes at a time, which stay the same for the next two years. In Senior, grade 11 and 12, are the hardest years of schooling. At our school, many others two I would say, is something called the Suicide 6. Which is the 6 hardest subjects that are possible to do in Senior. They are Maths C (hardest maths), Maths B (second hardest maths), English (hardest english), Biology, Chemistry and Physics. The subjects I have taken to under-go are Maths C, Maths B, English, Physics, Aerospace (hardest possible subject) and Business. Which means I am doing some really hard subjects, and if I fail one assessment I fail the entire subject.
I could go on and on about how hard Senior is and what we need to do to finish it. But I must get at least a B+ in all my subjects to get where I need to go. Which means I need to study every night.
On top of studying every night, I still do casual work. Which is 2 nights a week and all day Saturday. Thursday (5.5 hours), Friday (5.5 hours) and Saturday (10 hours). So that means only 3 nights free and Sunday which is my day for friends and family. But I only really have 2 nights free because I will be going to TAFE (College) on Tuesday afternoons to study my Diploma in Information Technology. This course is accelerated and out of 1000 applications only 10 have been chosen and I am one of them lucky 10 due to my high marks at school. Which is a lot more hard work.
Last but not least, I have found out tonight I might be loosing my job. Not to poor effort and work, business reasons. Long story, but in the end I might loose my job. With one of the biggest companies in Australia closing down, not the one I work for, it means a lot more jobs will be lost and they will be looking for. Making it worse, majority are my age so we will all be looking for work.
These are the many reasons I can not get onto CodeCall much, I hope you understand this. This will all be over the next 2 years by the way :wacko:
On and bear in mind, I am only 15 ;)
Regards,
Brandon

Wow, it sounds like you have a very hard schedule. Studying and your school are very important and it is understandable. I'm glad to hear that you are doing ok; I didn't see you on IM or CC for a while and I knew you to be on every morning (my morning anyway) - I didn't know if something had happened to you or not. If you need any help at all, always feel free to drop by and ask! :) If you ever get any spare time stop by.

@Winged
Of course :) I have seen many people come here to get some help with homework, so of course I will come visit CC.
@mendim.
Not quite back yet, just have some free time for the last 2 days or so.
@amrosama
That's not a bad idea! I should use my phone :)

That's right, you have an iPhone. Speaking of that, I found a great Online Chess game that runs on it. If you like Chess we should arrange to play sometime (I am really bad ATM).
