While browsing around on Sourceforge this morning, I stumbled across four games that might make for a fun competition:
SourceForge.net: CoreWars 8086
SourceForge.net: Corewar
SourceForge.net: senthilkumar
SourceForge.net: JArena
Is anyone interested in creating competitors for any of these? I think that if we can get enough people in, things could get quite... interesting.

The idea sounds fantastic. Which one did you download?

I haven't downloaded any yet... I'll wait til I'm at work and can get them quickly. I'll give my input then. I have played corewars before and found it to be both fun and challenging.

Well, I was able to get CoreWar to compile on my linux laptop. The Java apps didn't run for some reason.
