I believe that for online classes you would probably have to pay for an instructors time. You could try online tutorials and possibly some web design books if you are willing to pay for resources. PHP.net has an introductory tutorial on their site, and there are many other good online tutorials on PHP on other sites which can be found through search engines. You should be able to check your work when your done with any resource because either your code works, or it doesn't and you have to go back and debug it.

Another place for good tutorials is w3schools.org

I agree with everyone who says W3Schools.com is good, but you'll probably want to get some more help because they do mostly the basics.

I was fortunate enough to be offered the position of piloting the Web Scripting and Database Management course for my school district this year and I've already learned a lot about PHP only in the first semester and can tell you that you're making a good choice in a useful language in web development. Good luck in your learning. :D
