Hey all, I am somewhat new to the forum and I feel I should introduce my self. As you may be able to tell(from my forum name) my name is Nick. I am 13 year's old, and live in Southern California. I have been coding for about a month and I just wrote my first tutorial. As for languages that I can code fluently in is HTML. I am currently learning C. I learned to code in two ways. My dad is an IT consultant and he helped get me started. I also started reading a HTML book. Currently I am reading C:Step by Step to learn C.As for activity's I am not very good at sports except for fencing. I have been fencing for about two years, and placed 4th at my last tournament.

That's it for now, I guess this can also be an about me if you have any questions. Thanks.

Fencing is a sport involving two people with (safe) swords. The aim is to touch your sword on your opponent's chest, while the opponent tries to ward you off. The most famous part of it is "en guarde!", a phrase spoken to inform your opponent that you are ready to begin.

Welcome to CC, I am the same age as you. :)

Hello Nick, and welcome from another new member. You seem to be on the right track by starting your own computer/programming education early -- I sure wish I started at age 13, not that's it's harder being older, just that the extra time doesn't hurt. These skills you are learning will come in handy when you're ready to start your own career. Keep up the great work.

Hey cool, you're 13. I started when I was 14, so you got me beat there. Greetings Nick. I'm Dave.

...

Ack! I just realize that I've been programming for almost 10 years! I guess I feel old? Anyway... Good luck learning C, and welcome.
Dave
