This post is my 10,000th post here at CodeCall. Yet another cause for celebration. Perfect timing to go with my new Slinger status, I guess.
Considering CodeCall just celebrated its 100,000 post goal, ten percent of all the posts ever made on CodeCall have been made by me since I joined in March this year.
I hope I will be able to manage my addiction. ;)

lol. Your posts are valuable even if it is against popular opinion. People do not understand the purpose of lounge and general sections but a specific forum (such as this one) without them would fail. The reason is because we all come here to hang out and chat with people who have common traits, however, we do not always want to chat about programming. These sections give us a reprise from it while still amongst similar individuals.
These sections also have the added benefit of getting to know each other better, thus becoming a better community in general. The one problem that arises from these sections are "clicks" when they become unwelcoming to new members, knowledge and perspective. These are easy to see and easy to deal with though.
Another insightful thing you may not know is that you have to have posts in order for people to respond. If you visit an empty forum what is your incentive to join and become a member? You have contributed much to CodeCall without ever knowing it and I thank you for that. Thus, you will now receive a gift from me:
