Hello CodeCall, I am a 16 year old kid who is in the process of learning C++.

About me (because you really wanted to know):

I have always enjoyed computers and technology. So when I went into high school, I was looking forward to the tech classes. Unfortunately, I did not have room in my schedule as a freshman to take up anything other than the core curriculum (maths, science, english, etc). As a sophomore, I made enough room for one elective, so I took computer hardware/IT essentials. I am half way through the class, and the purpose of me taking the class is to get a comptia A+ certification before the end of the year. Next year I will be taking the cisco academy in place of an elective. If all goes well, by the end of my high school career I will be have both an A+ certification, and a CCNA. After high school I plan on going to college for a bachelors degree in network administration or information technology.

I've always been somewhat interested in programming, so I recently bought a few books on C++, and I am currently self-studying them. I am still learning the ins and outs of programming, but I am now starting to get a grip on object oriented programming.

I highly doubt that most of you read the giant wall of text. So I'll just say it this way.

Hi I'm Disharmony.

Welcome to CodeCall! I received my A+ in 2000 (or 2001), not a bad certification to have. I see many "computer technician" jobs in my area require it. I've only heard good things about Cisco Certification so I think you are making great decisions already. If you need anything, let us know.

Hello Disharmony, Welcome to CodeCall! I wish my high school offered classes like that. During the summer, I will probably be perusing a Cisco or MSCE certification.

Thanks everyone, I will be more active as I find the time to program more often.
