Well since I got such a nice PM from Jordan I through I would drop in and say hello and give some background.
As you can see my screen name is Feral, I'm currently a freelance web developer and work mainly with php/mysql/xhtml/css and javascript.
I have been programming for a little over 6 years and am also proficient in perl, c/c++, as well as enough asm to get me by.
When I am not working for someone else I usually can be found working on reading books on programming or developing tools for the video game development suite I have been developing for the past couple of years.
I use these tools to create indy games that at this point in time nobody but myself and my wife usually see :)
Once I get all the bugs worked out and get a couple more larger scale games completed I plan on either setting up a group or going solo and releasing high quality indy games that will run on both older systems and the new ultra gaming rigs.
Well that's about all there is to say, I program and play and write games.
Feral
Nice site

Welcome to CodeCall, Feral. The indy games sound neat. Do you find a lot of freelance work?

Thank you all for the warm welcome. To answer your question Jordan, I make more then I thought I would when I first started doing it. With sites like getafreelancer and digital points services forum its actually quite easy to find work.
I won't become a millionaire by doing this type of work especially since I try to stick to small projects and not developing full custom site software. But i make enough to survive week to week and keep a little bit of extra money in the all mighty paypal account :D
In the end it depends on how many of the common cms/forum/e-commerce software's you are familiar with.
If I wasn't a lazy programmer I could probably make more but for the time being it all works out.
