Hey Everyone,
My name is Josh, I'm 19 and I live in Australia, in the Western Region and Im new here :D.
I have been using computers my whole life, and have loved them since I was little. In the area of programming, I started to learn things around the age of 12/13, with my first "language" being HTML. I quickly moved onto JavaScript a couple of months later.
Around the age of 14 I began to learn Pascal, which became very boring, very fast, so I moved quickly onto Delphi. Since then I have mastered that of CSS and PHP in the web area, and Python and Action Script in the programming area.
I am currently teaching myself Java, while learning C/C++ on the side. All the programming and web languages I have learnt over the years have been all self taught, as I find myself to work better on my own instead of a classroom environment.
In the future I plan on move onto University to get my degree in Computer Science, Majoring in Games Development. I one day hope to work for/own a large games company such as that of Blizzard, Epic and Ubisoft...
I have joined this forum to help me gather knowledge from others like me, and hopefully help others where it is needed.
Any Questions, please feel free to ask.
Josh

Very nice introduction, Josh. Welcome to CodeCall. Which of those languages do you prefer most?

Hi Jordon,
Of the ones that I can do well, I like Python, mainly because it simple, yet has a lot of potential. Which I can't really say the say for others like Delphi and Action Script.
In the Web area, I prefer to mix CSS and JavaScript, as it tends to make a good team, giving you the ability to make some really good looking pages. PHP on the other hand is good, and powerful in the way that it can be very dynamic, giving you the chance to make your webpage productive without the need to load new pages and load large amounts of content.
I am really starting to enjoy java, from what I can tell so far, its quite a powerful language when done correctly. And from what I can tell, you it has some useful, and quite powerful server side functions.
