I am in college for Network Specialist to go up to Network Administrator....Would I need to take the CompTIA A+ cert?

I have my CompTIA A+ certification and it has never helped me although I did learn a lot from studying for the test.

One way to determine if a cert will help you is to look on sites like Monster.com and see how many jobs are looking for that cert, out of all the positions relevant to your career. A+ is nice for a technician, not so helpful to Network Admin.

I have my CompTIA A+ cert. I learned a lot from the courses for it, but network admins should also know a lot about security and server administration :)
