Ach, just sit back and relax. Soon, google owns the world, who cares.. :)
3rd world war? No need for that, we got Xav! Keep problems focused, people. We need to concentrate on the actual threats..

I don't think it will lead to the third world war (I hope not anyway) but it certainly is not a good thing. I understand it to be an American and UK Economic crisis. Is there other countries in the same shape?

Russia is also in economic turmoil, similar to how it was right after the fall of the USSR.

Not exactly in the same shape, but we, the Europeans, are hit critically as well. Iceland, for instance, is almost bankrupt - the whole country. Denmark has been pretty lucky seen from an overall perspective. I have only heard about a few companies which have fired workers, but the Danes in total have lost billions. IIRC, the state in Sweden is about the same as in Denmark - and I think the same in general applies to most of Europe, where some are hit more critically (like Iceland) and others less.

Iceland has taken many loans through the history, but their economy has nevertheless been pretty good, like in most of the Scandinavian countries. They have been paying the loans back steadily, but now when the crisis suddenly came, they have gotten into problems. Now, no one will give them a loan, as they're concerned about their own economy - or almost no one. It seems like Russia has been willing to give them a loan, but, if it's true what kresh7 says, they have maybe been having some backthoughts with it too.

I haven't heard that it should be critical in Norway at all. I think it's about the same as in Denmark.
