G'day mates

I am Brandon W. Call me Brandon or Bran if it makes it easier.

I have been browsing your forum for a few days but haven't made a post even though I have signed up. You seem like a very interesting and helpful community.

The weird thing is, I see the same members posting over and over. Not many difference. Also.... I read somewhere the moderators can tell what members are going to say next :) Someone with a tux avatar hehe. I have also came familiar with Jordan I believe it is. Most of use seem to have a WIDE range of programming skills and I have came here to expand mine.

Now somethings about me. I am a 15 year old male living in Australia. I am very interested in computers and mainly the web designing section but felt like I should give it a break and go to some software developing. I know at the moment HTML, CSS and PHP. I would like to finish off learning MySQL and start to learn AJAX, Javascript, Python, C and C++. Mainly C++ but I am working from Python and up which I read on this forum is the best method to take.

I am currently studying my Certificate I in IT which I am getting A's in and doing a Advanced Diploma next year. It's only for academic students and I get A's in all subjects besides English. I get B's, also most of my classes are Extension.

I have came here hoping that members can help me through my development of software.

Also just a short question. I see people have names like Programmer, Speaks Binary fluently, in the making etc. Can you set those or do they have to be earned?

Oh and congratulations on your PHP job mate. I read your test you had to do and you did fairly well :) Can't remember the member's name, I believe it's a moderator, so congratulations anyway.

Welcome to the forum, Brandon! I would love to visit Australia and do some scuba diving. Have you ever been?

I believe the member you were referring to was phpforfun. He didn't get the job because he had a felony though.

Just curious where you read that the staff can tell what the members are going to say next?

Hmmmm, I believe it was in the C/C++ section. It was a programming Guru which always seems to express opinion holding nothing behind :) I am going to look for it now.
Can't seem to find it. But it was quote similar to this.
"I love it how moderators here can tell what a member is going to say next."
Along those lines :)

Abroad? Once I leave school I am studying IT and Mathematics. We have great UNI's here.
