Okay well i really wanted to start game programming as soon as i could. Allegro seems to only do 2 dimensional kind of stuff and i want to get more intact with coding 3D. so i was wondering if anyone knows some good engines to use. I have heard of DirectX but it seems i cant quiet get it to work. If you know any better ones please post and let me know. Also if you have some useful tutorials let me know as well. :)
Thanks
Appreciate it,
Whitey

Yeah dude, learn the language.
Or else take John's route, and just quit coding.
Although you did say you were going to show me up that you were going to be a coder.
Still waiting.

Game Maker actually has a fairly decent language, I've used it myself before. Actually, I started coding in it in... Oh god... 2001? I was 11 or 12 when I made my first game. xD
Mind you, it wasn't crazy 3D like some of the games coming out of it today are :P

In my last (and only) 3d game, I just coded a 3d layer on top of allegro. 3d is hard to code, you have to understand trigonometry, and algebra and how to convert formulae into code.

Hah. 2 years ago I would think that was hard. Engineering has taught me otherwise... Well, it can still be difficult, but they pound it into you.

Yeah, but it's hard if you're in grade 10! :)

I think GameMaker would fit you perfectly. You do not need to know C++, which it is apparent, you do not want to learn.
