Flat TV or ordinary TV?

Can anybody explain me what are the advantages of flat TV over an ordinary TV?

Other than space savings, there are really no real advantages. You can still produce an hd picture on a crt tv (normal tv).

The only main advantage I have with a flat tv is the fact that they use lcd or plasma technology which are more friendly with my eyes compared to radiation bombardment with crt televisions.

No, wait. I don't think he is referring to LCD. I think he is referring to actual FLAT CRT's. Personally, between a normal and a flat CRT, I see no difference, except that the screen is flat and not round like the old ones. The CRT of my computer is Flat, the CRT of my old computer was normal.. I don't see much difference.

CRTs don't tend to be widescreens, or not?
