I want to install Linux. Can anyone tell me which is most easy among opensuse11 and Ubuntu.

I have ubuntu but don't use it that much. Acording to the members on this forum when I asked they said Ubuntu is the easiest one to use

It sucks because this is something you need to just try for yourself. It depends on the person and his or her competence.

I can't stand Ubuntu as a Desktop and I really dislike the gnome environment compared against KDE (gnome is default on Ubuntu). My vote goes for openSuSe.

Desktop effects are rendered through third party packages like compiz fusion. Generally, the better your graphics card, the more likely you will be able to install compiz and get the cool effects.
I have made my ubuntu look exactly like mac osx, and I love using it now!

The only unfortunate side effect of making your desktop look like Mac OS X, is that it uses 300mb of memory while idling.
